Career Explorer
Choose one of the 60 jobs as your starting point. This shows what becomes reachable, when, and through which bridge. The model favors credible adjacent moves rather than pretending careers are one straight promotion ladder.
Method, Assumptions & Sources
This is a decision model, not career astrology. The value is in the structure: transferable skills, realistic adjacency, timing, outcome proof and opportunity cost.
How the model works
The 60 original roles keep their existing love, qualification, chance, overall and current-pay values. The new layer adds 140 canonical future roles and 450 modeled transitions.
Each transition has
A time range — how long it commonly takes to manufacture enough proof, not a mandatory tenure clock.
A type — promotion, lateral move or stretch.
Difficulty + confidence — relative credibility of the transition.
An unlock list — the actual business outcomes, skills or portfolio evidence that make the next role believable.
What “path confidence” means
It is a relative score combining your original chance of landing the starting role with the modeled credibility of each transition. It is intentionally not presented as a literal probability of your life happening.
Pay model
Current-role pay is preserved from the original dashboard. Future-role ranges are directional Spain / Barcelona tech estimates normalized from current 2025–2026 salary guides, European function benchmarks and relative seniority. They are intentionally ranges, not fake-precise forecasts.
International remote roles, elite US-linked SaaS companies, equity and unusually strong commission years can exceed these ranges materially. Small local firms, gaming studios and non-tech employers can sit below them.
Reference sources used to sanity-check ladders and compensation
Time is rarely the promotion strategy. The clock gives you opportunities to collect proof. The promotion comes when your current role already contains evidence that you can handle the next role: bigger scope, measurable outcomes, cross-functional ownership, harder problems, leadership, revenue, or specialized expertise.
